- Provide focused leadership development opportunities at key transition points during each leader’s career.
- Link executive development with management continuity and succession planning.
- Leverage executive development as a means to drive the rapid and successful accomplishment of key strategic initiatives.
- Facilitate leadership development within the context of project-based initiatives designed to accelerate growth. (These will include measurable stretch goals for managers and executives).
- Engage selected business leaders (internal and external) in championing and delivering customized development programs.
- Identify leadership and management capabilities exhibited by top performers and required to achieve key strategic initiatives.
- Develop a measurement strategy and key performance indicators by which to determine the ROI and govern the effectiveness and efficiency of leadership development within the corporate university.
- Support leadership development with executive coaching, assessment, action learning, mentoring, job shadowing, job rotation, and stretch assignments.
- Facilitate consistent organization-wide understanding of strategy, vision, and key strategic initiatives. Leverage strategic planning meetings.
- Be the forum for creating a common corporate culture.
- Provide a place for executives to gather to develop and exchange best practices and form relationships across organizational boundaries.
- Facilitate networking between and among current and future leaders and provide the knowledge management support required to capture and exchange best practices and lessons learned.
